چکیده

snn = 17GeV a sudden increase in the pion source volume is observed for central PbPb collisions. This seems to imply that the pion phase density has reached a limit. The source size of different particles decreases with mass when the transverse velocity is held constant but increases with mass when mT is held constant. The antiproton source radius is larger than the proton source radius. So far no long lived source has been seen. The pion source size varies slowly with rapidity but more rapidly with mT implying strong transverse flow. There is very slow increase of pion radii with √

HBT and Fluctuations: Recent Results

The study of small relative momentum correlations, a technique also known as HBT [1] interferometry, is one of the most powerful tools at our disposal to study complicated space-time dynamics of heavy ion collisions [2]. It provides crucial information which helps to improve our understanding of the reaction mechanisms and to constrain theoretical models of the heavy ion collisions. It is also ...

Clustering in heavy ion collisions . Why it could happen and how to observe it ?

We argue that Clustering in heavy ion collisions could be the missing element in resolving the so-called HBT puzzle, and briefly discuss the different physical situations where clustering could be present. We then propose a method by which clustering in heavy ion collisions could be detected in a model-independent way

I will present a review of the field of Hanbury Brown-Twiss interferometry in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. The “HBT puzzle” is explored in detail, emphasizing recent theoretical attempts to understand the persisting puzzle. I also present recent experimental results on azimuthally sensitive HBT, HBT of direct photons, and some surprises in the comparison of HBT results from p+p and Au+Au ...

Modeling Magnetic Field in Heavy ion Collisions Using Two Different Nuclear Charge Density Distributions

By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...

Consistent Hydrodynamic Description of One-and Two-particle Observables in Relativistic Heavy-ion Collisions at Rhic * * *

We show that a consistent hydrodynamic description of soft-hadronic oneand two-particle observables (the HBT radii) studied in the relativistic heavy-ion collisions at RHIC may be obtained if one uses the Gaussian energy density profile as the initial condition. The transverse-momentum spectra, the elliptic flow coefficient v2, and the pionic azimuthally sensitive HBT radii are successfully rep...
